Methodology

Derived from transactional data (amazon_physical_orders, FINAL status) for German marketplace orders. Active shoppers are defined as panel members with at least one order in calendar year 2025 and observable Amazon coverage throughout the full year (first_observed ≤ Jan 1, 2025; last_observed ≥ Dec 31, 2025). Base: n=1,131 panelists (effective sample size ESS=682 after AGOF-based weighting to German online population). 95% confidence interval estimated via 500 bootstrap replications. Long-tenure bias: the sample is skewed toward loyal Amazon users; casual shoppers with shorter panel history are underrepresented.
