Analysis
Amazon.de search behavior varies significantly by age group. Parents aged 30–44 directed 10.9% of their search clicks to Toys, 3.6 times higher than shoppers aged 60+ (3.0%). Fashion exhibited a clear age gradient, rising from 18.8% of clicks for 18–29 year-olds to 25.4% for the 45–59 group. Electronics showed relative stability across ages, while Home & Kitchen remained a consistent priority across all demographics.

Within-age-group composition share of 1.72 million categorized search-to-product clicks joined to user birth_year, 2025. Per-age sample sizes: 18–29 n≈1,969 · 30–44 n≈2,682 · 45–59 n≈940 · 60+ n≈182. Cells with fewer than 5 observations dropped. Note: 60+ cell size is directional; interpret with caution.
