Datapods is proud to announce that we’ve received 270k€ in funding from the "Start-up Transfer.NRW" program, supported by the European Union. This funding marks the beginning of our journey to revolutionize individual control and benefits from personal data.
The "Start-up Transfer.NRW" Program: Catalyzing Innovation
"Start-up Transfer.NRW," a program aimed at converting academic research into market-ready innovation, has selected Datapods as one of its 11 beneficiaries this batch. Administered by the North Rhine-Westphalia state government and financed by the European Union, the program is committed to nurturing ideas with a substantial market impact. Our inclusion in this funding round validates our approach to a user-centric data economy and places us at the forefront of transformation within the data economy.
Plans for Utilizing the Funding
The 270k€ will be strategically used to accelerate our development and enhance our impact. Our focus will be on advancing our technology and transitioning to full-time operations with our founding team. This funding is a first step towards empowering our users, fostering greater control and ownership of personal data.
Collaboration with Prof. Dr. Louisa Specht-Riemenschneider
As part of the Start-up Transfer.NRW Program, we are more than happy to announce that we’re going to be working with Prof. Dr. Louisa Specht-Riemenschneider as our Mentor. She is one of the most distinguished data law experts in Germany. Her research focusing on data trusts and her extensive network will be pivotal in ensuring our solutions are both innovative and compliant with legal standards.
